Corporate support is really important to us as a charity. It helps us to raise awareness of who we are and what we do, as well as vital funds. Additionally, corporate partnerships often provide invaluable voluntary support in terms of time and expertise.
Likewise, the companies we partner with tell us that they benefit in the following ways:
Employee volunteering is a really simple and effective way for an organisation to support charities in the local community. By volunteering you can:
Every year, we get thousands of bags of donations from amazing supporters and we always need help sorting them out. That’s where you and your colleagues come in. Whether you want to come and help in our Warehouse, at your local shop or even at an event, we’d really appreciate your help! Volunteering as a team can help with relationship building, with CSR and gives you and your colleagues a different challenge outside of the office. To find out more and to get involved, email Claire Brown, our Events and Business Development Co-Ordinator, at email@example.com or call us on 02920 522600.
Whether you are a shop, an office, a ‘one man or lady’ business or have a number of small businesses, we would love to work with you. Simply having a collection box on your reception, bar or counter, donating a few bags of unwanted items to our charity shops or displaying some information about Bobath Wales can really help and go a long way. It can show your commitment to helping a local children’s charity but also it can help raise the profile of our charity and what we do.
Your company can make a real difference to Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales through sponsorship of a range of high profile events and initiatives. The commercial benefits for you in sponsoring an event, appeal or campaign include:
We have different sponsorship packages available depending on the event or campaign. This can be discussed with our Events and Business Development Co-Ordinator (e: firstname.lastname@example.org or t: 02920 522600) to ensure it fits with what you’re hoping to achieve.
Bobath Wales has a wide range of calendar of fundraising events catering to all tastes that many of our corporate supporters like to come along to. Many of the events are perfect for rewarding staff, networking and entertaining clients, for example, our Golf Day and annual Ball. We also have events that are ideal for encouraging some office fun and friendly competition such as our Bake for Bobath competition which runs throughout March. October is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month which takes on a Welly theme with Welly Walks taking place throughout Wales.
Christmas is always an exciting and busy time for the Bobath Fundraising Team with a vast array of fundraising activities, including our well-renowned and much-loved Christmas Market, Carols in St Mary’s Church and Christmas raffle, Christmas card sales and festive mailing that reaches over 4,000 people.
Activity events: running, parachuting, cycling and trekking
We are always looking for people to run, cycle, trek and parachute for us. We can send the information over for the various energetic events. It would be fantastic to make staff aware that if they are entering an event independently we would be delighted if they chose to do it in aid of Bobath Wales. We can provide fundraising resources e.g. fundraising guides, sponsorship forms, buckets, collection tins, running vests etc.
Charity of the Year Partnerships
Nominating Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales for your Charity of the Year is a great way for us to work in partnership over a longer period of time to make a positive change to the lives of children who have cerebral palsy in Wales.
Having a charity partnership can have great benefits:
Harding Evans Solicitors have been corporate supporters of ours for five years. “The work Bobath Wales do is vital to those children and families affected by cerebral palsy, the impact of which we know only too well through the work we do and families we’ve worked with. As well as the being a charity close to our hearts, our staff are delighted to help Bobath Wales raise money which brings a lot of pride to our organisation.”
Over the years many of our corporate supporters have arranged a fabulous and fun range of fundraising activities and one-off events to raise funds for Bobath Wales. Some examples include: themed dress down days, horse race evenings, raffles, bake sales, talent contests, sponsored sporting events and many more. We would be delighted to offer you the support and resources you need to make your fundraiser a success!
Sponsor a Therapist
Funding a therapist at Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales means that we can provide more Bobath therapy to more children providing a truly tangible way to support us.
Sponsor a child
Your company could sponsor a child, although we are unable to give you details of a specific child as we have to respect every child’s confidentiality. We will, however, update you about a specific child and show you the difference that coming to Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales has made to them and their family.
Whether you are launching a new product or marketing your existing range, a Cause Related Marketing initiative in partnership with Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales will have a positive impact on sales and your ‘bottom line’. For example, maybe you are a café or bakery and would like to link up with our annual Bake for Bobath campaign during the month of March? This is excellent marketing for companies as well as demonstrating to customers your corporate social responsibility credentials.
Gifts in kind
We are always extremely grateful for offers of Gifts in Kind and some companies provide us with wonderful gifts that we can auction or raffle at the many events we hold during the year. We also keep a wish list of equipment needed for therapy and many companies find this an ideal way to support our work.
Regularly donating a fixed sum of money from your salary is a simple way to give. It’s also the most tax effective, because donations are deducted before you pay tax.
For example, if you donate £10, only £8 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest. Or if you’re on a higher tax rate (40%), only £6 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest.
By giving from your salary each payday, you will be helping us to provide specialist therapy to as many children who have cerebral palsy in Wales as possible. The fact that we know how much and how often you will donate means that we can budget effectively and plan ahead. And you will know that Bobath is able to make the best use of your regular, tax-free donation.
