Specialists in Cerebral Palsy

Law firm make an exceptional donation to Welsh children’s charity

Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales are delighted to announce that they have received an amazing donation to the sum of £23,588 from Harding Evans Solicitors.

The law firm, which has offices in both Cardiff and Newport, specialises in clinical negligence, residential property and wills & probate amongst many other services. They have supported Bobath Wales since 2005 and in that time have raised an incredible £55,000 for the charity. This has been achieved through a variety of fundraising activities including marathons runs, baking as well as event attendance and sponsorship.

“We’re overjoyed that the wonderful staff and clients of Harding Evans continue to support Bobath Wales and we are so grateful for such a generous donation,” said Claire Walker, Corporate Relationship and Fundraising Manager for Bobath Wales. “The money will go a long way to ensuring that we can continue to provide our specialist service to the children with cerebral palsy and their families that need us. It is fantastic to also have Harding Evans as our neighbours now that they have opened a branch just down the road to our Centre in Whitchurch, Cardiff.”

Last year the charity treated 343 children from across Wales who have cerebral palsy, as well as providing practical advice and emotional support to their families.
Bobath Wales need to raise £1.5M each year to keep the centre running. 76% of this income comes from donations and fundraising activity, such as the Bake for Bobath campaign currently taking place throughout March. The campaign is kindly being sponsored by Harding Evans Solicitors.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Bake for Bobath and Make a Will campaigns this year,” says Joy Phillips, Chief Executive of Harding Evans Solicitors. “These campaigns are some of Bobath Wales’ many excellent fundraising initiatives and one that our staff have always enthusiastically got involved in. Having supported the charity for many years, we have seen first-hand the vital care that they provide to children with cerebral palsy and we are thrilled to be playing our part in helping make a difference to these families across Wales.”

Bobath Wales will be hosting a Bake for Bobath Coffee Morning at the Whitchurch branch of Harding Evans Solicitor at 10am-12pm on March 21st. All welcome.
