Bobath Wales raised £13,953 from Christmas celebrations

Bobath Wales  raised a fantastic £13,953 from Christmas celebrations  and would like to thank all those who helped them to do it!

With 76% of our income coming from donations, we’re so grateful to everyone who got involved, supported us and in turn, helped us to raise more money for children who have cerebral palsy in Wales.

We had lots of exciting things happening over Christmas including:

Our Bobath Wales Christmas Market

This was a great opportunity for us to see some of our amazing supporters and get them involved in a local fundraising opportunity.

We were joined by volunteers, some of our families, local business people, corporate supporters and those who just wanted to come along, see what was on offer and help us raise lots of money! A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event. We love doing this and it wouldn’t be possible without you all. For more photos, see our Facebook page here.

Jingle Bell Rock

Our way of welcoming in December and getting the Christmas parties started! Jingle Bell Rock, in its third year, saw a great turn out and it was good to see so many people enjoying themselves but raising money for Bobath Wales too. We had some lovely feedback from guests so thank you to everyone who came. We really appreciate your ongoing support! For more photos, see our Facebook page here.

Our Carols for Christmas Concert

It was amazing to see so many people turn out to celebrate Christmas with us at St Mary’s Church in Whitchurch. Carols were sung, candles were lit and performers got us into the festive spirit with their renditions of well-known Christmas songs. A big thank you to Vikki Bebb (Tiger Bay The Musical), The Stage Centre Choir, Osian James and our very own Bobath Wales Staff Choir who took part. Another big thanks to all those who did readings for us on the night. We really appreciated your support and again, helping us to raise money for children who have cerebral palsy. For photos, see our Facebook page here.

Our little elves also worked tirelessly selling raffle tickets, Christmas cards and writing Santa letters too so a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets, cards and asked for Santa letters. You helped to make Christmas even more magical for us (as you can see!)

We were also, very lucky to have visits from both St David’s Dewi Sant/Capital FM and the Cardiff Devils who each brought with them a sensational amount of toys for our children. From books to cuddly bears, to dolls to cars, they overwhelmed us and we know the families will absolutely love these special gifts. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

A very happy new year to each and every one of you and thank you for making our 2017 phenomenal!
