Specialists in Cerebral Palsy

Coronavirus update

A message from Jenny Carroll – Bobath Wales Centre Director

To all our families, supporters and volunteers,

I am writing to confirm that as of today, Tuesday 24th March, we have made the decision to close our Children’s Therapy Centre for the time being.

However, the charity is still operating and will continue to do so for as long as possible. Our team are currently working hard to put in place support services for our children and families during this exceptional time. If you are a parent or a carer of a child and would like to get in touch, please email us at info@bobathwales.org and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

As a charity, 80% of the £1.8M we need to raise every year comes from charitable and voluntary income. We have worked hard for the past 28 years to build a diverse range of income streams, but there will undoubtedly be a major reduction in our funding as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic. Our ability to maintain the current numbers of children and families we are able to support, let alone the plans we had to grow income and increase our services to support more children, is under unprecedented threat.

In short, times ahead will be tough and we need your help to ensure that we can continue to make a life changing difference to children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.  If you wish to support the work we do, your help would be enormously appreciated. You can make a secure donation by clicking here.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families, supporters, volunteers and staff members for their continued support for the Charity, and I can assure you that Bobath Wales will continue to do all that it can to continue to make a difference to the lives of children and families across Wales living with cerebral palsy.

Very best wishes,

Jenny Carroll
