Don’t turn your spring clean into waste

According to a recent study from Sainburys’ a shocking 680 million items of clothing in the UK will be thrown away this spring. The supermarket also found that around 75% of the population are expected to throw clothes in the bin as opposed to donating them to charity.

As the days are becoming brighter and we begin to give our wardrobes and homes a spring clean in preparation for the warmer weather to come, it seems that sadly much of our sorting will end up going to landfill. According to the research, around 235 million garments will make their way to a landfill.

Your donated items could help children in Wales with cerebral palsy

We have four charity shops in total; three in Cardiff and one in Barry, so why not donate your pre-loved goods to us? What may seem a dated piece of furniture or garment to you could turn into a valuable donation to us that will go on to make a real and positive difference to children in Wales with cerebral palsy.

We also make donating as convenient as possible, if you have bigger bulkier items that you are unable to deliver to our furniture store in Rhiwbina and you live in Cardiff; a member of our team will come and collect these items. Simply give us a call on 02920 755199 or email us on fundraising@bobathwales.org
