When: Sunday 7th October 2018 at 10am
Where: Cardiff City Centre, outside Cardiff Castle
Join Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales for this iconic road race at the heart of Cardiff, Wales’ capital city. As the UK’s second biggest half marathon and the third largest road race, after the Great North Run and London Marathon, the Cardiff Half Marathon is definitely one to get involved in. We value our runners so we’ll be there on the day, cheering you on and helping you make it over that finishing line.
When you run for us you get:
Route: The 13.1 mile route will start in the centre of the city. It will take you past some of Cardiff’s most interesting sights, from the historic grandeur of Cardiff Castle, to the beauty of the Bay and back into the city centre to finish your half marathon. To see the route in full, click here.
Fundraising: Please note that a non-refundable £30.00 registration fee is required for your place in the event with the return of the completed Registration Form. All runners are asked to raise a minimum of £150 (excluding gift aid & registration fee). You will receive a complimentary Bobath Wales running vest if we see you have raised £95 by 9th September 2018 with the remaining sponsorship of £55 by 21st October 2018 latest.
When taking part in this challenge, we’d love for you to raise some money for us too. We can give you help and support along the way, provide sponsor forms and help you to set up a Justgiving or Virgin Money Giving page.
This year, we need to raise over £1.3m to run the Centre and provide ongoing specialist Bobath therapy to over 650 children in Wales who have cerebral palsy, so you can see why your support is so valuable to us. For more, information please contact us.
We’ll be using #RunTheDiff, the official Cardiff Half Marathon hashtag so please, share your pics with them and us!
We can’t wait to see you there!
Our event is being held in order to raise vital money needed by Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales to help more children who have cerebral palsy. The charity supports children and their families, helping them to have a better quality of life.
